Course Summary
This course is ideal for anyone involved in preparing and serving food and provides all candidates with a good basic understanding of nutrition. Candidates will also learn about individual nutritional requirements and specific standards and recommendations applying to catering for different groups of people.
School catering staff who would like to learn to plan well-balanced meals and have a positive impact on pupils’ health would definitely benefit from attending this course.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements but a working knowledge of the catering industry would be most useful. Our Nutrition & Health Awareness course would provide a good stepping stone onto this course.

Course Structure and Content
A short multiple choice test is taken at the end of the day, and successful candidates will achieve the CIEH Level 2 Award in Healthier Food and Special Diets.
