Dr Verner Wheelock
Verner Wheelock is a leading expert in nutrition and health,
having been interested in the subject for over 25 years. He has spoken and written widely on various aspects of Healthy Eating. In 1997, he edited ‘Implementing Dietary Guidelines for Healthy Eating’ – a compilation of Healthy Eating policies and programmes from many different countries which was extremely well received.
With all the recent interest in Healthy Eating for schools, he felt that there was a need for a book highlighting examples of good practice, with the aim of inspiring many more people to improve the food provision in their schools. Hence, Healthy Eating in Schools - A Handbook of Practical Case Studies has been published. It contains lots of useful ideas that you can put into practice in your school.
